Point Walter is very popular with freestyle kiters making use of the flat water on the ”offshore” side of the sand bank when easterly and northeasterly winds are blowing on summer mornings. A great location for a dawn/early morning lesson when the wind is on and a great place to learn to get up on the board with shallow flat water. The cafe opens at 8 am and there are toilet facilities here with cold showers.
We seldom use this location as strong easterlies are not always common during our kite season, if your lesson is scheduled here you will need to be available from as early as 7 am, this is when the wind will be at its strongest, it dies off between 9 am - 11 am
*Directions for lessons are provided in your booking confirmation email, you will receive a couple of days notice if we decide to use this location.
